Think of it as the sea routes in Empire: Total War. Sea Lanes are means for factions to make use of the seas to meet and battle with far-flung factions. For now, let’s just enjoy the map in its entirety and wait for the mode’s release. Creative Assembly may take time to tweak it to a better experience in the future. Note that the numbers mentioned above may change as the game mode is set to launch initially as a beta. With 554 settlments, 278 starting factions, and a grand total of 86 Legendary Lords, Warhammer 3’s Immortal Empires map sounds like the dream that we’ve always imagined.
Suffice to say, Total War: Warhammer III's factions have a huge impact on the game, and understanding each of them will give players an edge on the battlefield.Finally, after months of waiting, we finally see the map in its full glory. From noble human defenders to the twisted forces of Chaos, each faction brings with it a unique playstyle based on the tabletop game's lore. This lore is also used to determine where each faction appears on the map, in addition to their ability to engage in diplomacy. This new installment is launching with seven factions (including the pre-order bonus), each introducing new units, spells and campaign mechanics for players to sink their teeth into. With the hotly anticipated Total War: Warhammer III on the horizon, the few factions that have yet to make an appearance in the series will finally have their chance to shine. Creative Assembly has masterfully adapted many of these disparate races into the first two Total War: Warhammer games. The Warhammer universe is brimming with unique factions, each with a rich history that brings something different to the tabletop.
